Although marijuana has been legalized in a number of states, with other states approving the use of medical marijuana, in the state of Utah, possession of marijuana remains an offense. Even if the substance was purchased legally in other states, its use or possession is still illegal in the State of Utah and prosecutors continue to pursue drug crimes aggressively.
